Frequently Asked Questions

  • After your initial call, a designer will call you to set up a meeting time. At that initial meeting, you will want to share with them what you are looking to have done and ideally a general budget. A design fee will be set, if determined necessary. The designer will return to the office and create your layout and design. He or she may consult with you throughout the designing process, or for smaller projects, they will present the design to you when the estimate is completed. Our team has a thorough process to create an accurate estimate for your project, including measuring, engineering, CAD drawings and more. The designer will present your design to you and perhaps you will sign it right away or perhaps you will request some revisions. Once your project is approved, you will sign the contract and provide a 50% down payment. When the office receives the payment, your project will be put on the schedule. Your designer will try to give you a general idea of when that may be, but we can never guarantee an exact start date (see question #2). Depending on the scope of your project, the crews may be there a few hours to a few weeks. When completed, they will leave the site cleaned and looking better than before. Shortly after completion, you will receive an invoice for the remaining balance. Now, enjoy your new space!

  • There are many factors regarding the timing of the project. It is a good rule of thumb that a job will be scheduled two to three months after the contract has been signed. But there are so many exceptions to that. Sometimes we wait on material delivery or weather or other things out of our control. If it is a small project, oftentimes it can be squeezed in between other jobs, but there is no guarantee when a project will start.

  • A designer will happily meet with you to discuss the scope of your project typically at no cost for local sites. At this initial meeting, they can determine if the project will need a design and if so they will determine a design fee. This design fee ranges from $150 to upwards of $5,000+ for more involved projects.

  • There are so many variables (see cost page) - COMING SOON

  • Stuber Land Design stands behind our work! We install hardscapes with the highest of industry standards and use quality materials. Many of our products have their own warranty. We strive to provide the best quality plants and place them in the correct growing conditions, but they are living things and some factors are beyond our control. Plant material is guaranteed for a period of two years from the date of installation, with the exceptions of perennials, roses, groundcovers, hollies, azaleas and rhododendrons, which due to their tender nature, are guaranteed through the first Fall season only. See our Guarantee Statement for further details.

  • As soon as you know you want to include a professional landscaper, make the call. The earlier you get us involved, the smoother the process will be. Sometimes our designers take into consideration things that builders might not think about.

It's never too early or too late to contact us to design your property. Ideally the landscape design can develop even before a structure is built, thereby ensuring a harmonious union between the land and the structure. But we will strive to maximize the full potential of a property regardless of when we become involved.
